MS Slugfest 2009 was a homerun thanks to you!  Despite the rain 32 teams came together to raise over $60,000 to help the 20,000  people living with multiple sclerosis in the Greater Illinois Chapter area. Congratulations to Team Hanrahan - the MS Slugfest 2009 Champions!

Just because you ran the bases, doesn’t mean you have to stop moving. The fundraising deadline to quality for the grand prize is August 31st. The team that raises the most money by that deadline will win a two hour sightseeing boat cruise, including food and beverage, on a sunny Sunday in September- courtesy of Shoreline Sightseeing.

On Saturday, August 1, the 9th Annual MS Slugfest will take place at Mt. Greenwood Park, on Chicago's South Side.  MS Slugfest is a one-day, 16-inch, co-ed softball tournament with up to 48 teams of 15 players each. Teams represent neighborhood establishments, corporations and individuals playing against each other for an important cause: to slide home to a world free of MS!

MS Slugfest promises to be a very special event that shouldn’t be missed. The event is held annually, rain or shine and includes a fully catered lunch, Home Run Derby and outstanding fundraising and championship prizes!

Sign up today to form a team in this exciting event! Spots are limited and available on a first come/first served basis.  Additional prizes are available for the top fundraising team, championship team and Home Run Derby winner.  Go above and beyond as an event sponsor and earn all the perks.  All team captains must submit a minimum of $200 to secure a spot in the tournament, and the team must raise at least $1,000 by game day to compete.

Slugfest is open to spectators and sports fans. Come cheer on your favorite MS Slugfest team, join us for lunch and be a part of the excitement of the Home Run Derby, Kids Corner or Corporate Village! The fun begins at 8:00 a.m. and lasts all day!
